Prayers

Prayers

I just stopped everything for a few minutes and prayed for your peace of mind and a successful surgery. I pray you will find a strength you never knew you had.

I had my aorta and aortic stem replaced August 4th of this year. I know I was supported by prayer, and went into surgery with a pulse of 64-very calm for me.

I experienced 3 really hard days, and then things started getting better, and recovery has seemed to accelerate since then. There is a good chance you will feel SO musch better with normal flow through your valve. A few hours ago I accompanied my wife on a vigorous 1 mile hike along a canyon wall that she walks every day. I never could make the hike before my surgery, and now we take it together every day. My wife feels like she got her old husband back. I hope it helps you to know there real rewards on the other side of the mountain. On August 3rd I would have told you I was having the surgery so I could live. Now I would tell you that I had the surgery so I could live the life of a man with a normal heart. God's Blessings upon you!

sissylea,

If you are like me or most of the rest of us here, your anxiety will go away as you begin preparations the day of your surgery. I know that, while I was anxious the day or so before my last surgery, the day of ... I was quite calm ... even for the drive into the hospital early that morning. Not sure what it was, but some sort of "inner peace" took over and I wasn't anxious anymore....

Thoughts/prayers coming to you and your husband.

My thoughts & a prayer for an uneventful recovery go with you. I had PVR surgery just over 3 weeks ago, & the memories of those last days before the big event are very fresh. That anxiety is the worst part of the whole ordeal. You'll soon be awakening to your new lease on life. Hang in there...you'll be fine!

You will be in my thoughts Tuesday as you go through the steps so many of us have. We know much of how you feel. I wish you a smooth procedure and a fast recovery. We'll be waiting to hear from you.

Best wishes,

Just stopped in............

Just stopped in............

to add my good wishes. I will be saying lots of prayers for you and waiting for that thumbs-up post-op report. Many hugs. Janet

Sissy,

I too was anxious, like Cort, the days right before surgery. The day of though, I was calm. I knew I was in the surgeon and Gods hands!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Can't wait to hear from you on the other side! God Bless!

Thinking of you today and will be praying until (and after, too) we hear from you or yours after surgery.

Please take care and Godspeed.

Praying for an excellent outcome for you. You will be in my thoughts on your big day.

You'll do great; we'll be waiting you hear from you on the other side of this. :)

Sissy, hugs and prayers are coming your way. It will be over before you know it and you will be on the other side of the mountain. I noticed that you live in Aurora, that's not too far away from me. I live in Joplin. It's good to have another Missourian aboard.
