Randy, I'm so appalled, as everyone else is, with the lack of knowledge about this drug by trained professionals. To think that nurses from the "all-knowing" CC would be saying that to you is just reprehensible.

Amazingly, my very wonderful general practitioner is the one doc who seems to be the most educated (of the docs I've encountered) about coumadin. I feel very lucky to have found him right when he got out of med school. But the bottom line is, we have to be our own advocates. Thank God for this site.

On a final note, I fired my last cardiologist for talking down to me about wanting to monitor my INRs myself. I've got it on the back burner right now.
I'm on Lovenox as I am all set to have part of my parotid gland removed tomorrow.
So can you share how the removal went? How are you feeling, any problems?
We are a nosey bunch, but we care what happens to our members!:)
