Nyc 9/11

Hi all, was curious..... is anyone is suffering after effects from direct contact with the "cloud" from the WTC?

One of my husbands employees was caught in the street on 9/11. He is suffering a constant terrible cough and has been seeing a pulmonologist. They can't put their finger on anything specific other than his breathing is compromised, lymph nodes in his chest cavity are enlarged. They did mention something about the heart. I am concerned for this young man and his family. They have a newborn and are scared.

Anyone know of a doctor in NYC that specializes in treating survivors? We found one at Mayo.

Hi Gina, I'm sorry to hear of your friends situation. Like being there wasn't hard enough. My uncle (NYPD) was a first responder and was injured but so far thankfully, he does not have any pulmonary issues. Neither does my aunt who works 2 blocks from the WTC and was covered in that smut. No pulmonary issues from the 2 people I know. Hopefully they get down to the bottom of your friends problem. My thoughts are with him and his family. Please let us know how he makes out.
