Thought I'd highlight this since it could be a very cool event . Let me know if you may go.... Thought my "heart" friends might be interested in meeting me (again, in some cases...LOL)....

This Saturday, July 26, 2003, is the "Back To The 50s Drive-In Movie Night" at the Cascade Drive-In on IL RT 64 in St Charles IL. Several car clubs will be participating. People will meet at 5pm at the Brunswick Bowl on RT 64 in St Charles and leave for the Drive-In at 5:30pm. Pay General Admission.

Wish I was closer. It would be neat to see all the cars, but I don't think my Dodge would fit in with all those Chevys. Have a good time.

I miss the Drive ins...

I miss the Drive ins...

I work in the office building that was built right where the screen was at the drive-in I went to as a child, then later as a teen. I have no idea where the nearest drive-in is anymore. Those that are still around are just flea markets nowadays.

It was fun watching "American Graffiti" at the drive-in. That movie was filmed in this area. I remember my folks taking us to see first run Bond movies...
