Well, after several failed attempts through the years, I've finally got approved for disability and ssi. It's really going to help with past medical bills. I think everyone here knows how expensive it can be to have to see a doc every week or so. Anyway, it's going to be good to have at least a little insurance!!!

I just had to share my good news with everyone here when you all have been so welcoming and warm and sincere.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!!!

Congrats

Congrats

I know how much it ease the mind to get your approval. I took my husband 4 yrs to to get approved.
Take care,

Hi Lora,

I'm glad your approval came through. Not having as many money worries must be a relief. It seems no matter how careful I am to make sure on how places file my insurance it still gets messed up!
Hopefully everything will go smooth for you now.

Thanks everyone. I think I've been holding my breath these past few months, what with two heart caths, and routine echoes everytime I went to the doctor.

It's nice to have the help, but I have to admit, I really miss working. My background training is in text books, office management and shipping recieving management. I loved every bit of it, but as you can imagine shipping/recieving is not necessarily the best field of work for someone with cardiomiopathy, valve implant, pacemaker, and hypertension. : )

I miss the work, but am grateful the state finally gave me aproval.

I know one thing your not-RICH! It's money to help, but it's a far cry from any sort of living wage. I do know what it's like to wait forever, appeal after appeal, then getting approved. It takes a major load off of your mind. ;)

Hey Lora,
That is Great News. Like everyone has said, every little bit helps. I have to wait until Aug. 13th to find out if they are going to give me a medical retirement or if I go back to work. Best of Luck to you.
Dave
