Just wanted to add my welcome. It has been just about 2 years since I found this site. I have learned so much and gotten so much support. I did not find the site until after my surgery but wish I had found it before.
I had my mitral valve repair through the port method 2 years ago in August. I was quite scared before the surgery and not afraid to admit it.
Keep posting and don't be afraid to ask anything that might be on your mind. You have come to the right place.

Please tell me more about your "port entry" surgery.

Exactly where was the incision made (from where? to where?)

Is that the same as a Right Thorocotomy?
