Newbie and nervous

Thanks everyone. To be honest, this thing has been hanging over my head and I'm a bit relieved that it will be over soon. I'm tired of having this rule my life. I think mid-January works for me. Part of my heart wall is starting to thicken and we want to make sure to get 'er done before there's permanent damage. But we'll see what the surgeon says.

Hi Dave, Welcome to the club. I can relate to the shock and stress of realizing it's finally going to happen. I think you'll find as you get your questions answered and learn about others experiences you'll relax a bit. Part of the stress comes from the choices that need to be made. There is a lot of good information here. It sounds like you've got a good team working for you which is just great.

CRAP! Just got back from the cardiologist. The latest echo didn't yield good results. Soooooooooooooooo.....it's off to the surgeon I go. Appointment is set for 12/13. blech.
