Me and my family can't thank everyone enough for the welcomes, warm wishes and prayers, thanks again!

To answer a question from ALcapshwa2: I looked at a lot of different valves and On-x was a top choice as well as the ATS for me but when I was talking to my surgeon he had never installed a On-X valve before. He was willing to order and use it but I was not willing to be his first. I feel good about my choice and the ATS valve. Thanks for our question.

deano89 good luck on the special day!! See you in recovery.

LTN04, welcome to our group. We're here to help and listen, so join in whenever possible. Your wait isn't too long, so that will make it somewhat easier.

You'll have many prayers, good vibes and whatever else we can send to you when you go into surgery. And, above all, set yourself up to be able to rest and relax when you get home cause this surgery certainly knocks the wind out for a few weeks.

Welcome! You will love the support you'll find here - I know I have!

We are very close in age I am 44 and too did not think would be here so soon. My surgery is in 2 days and think at this point am very accepting to what is happening. I think I have been through every emotion since getting the date and it is all normal. Use this site to help you and ask all kinds of questions.

I will be thinking of you on October 6th and praying for your surgery and recovery.

God bless you,
Lori

welcome to the forum. it will truly help. being in the waiting room is awful and i found that if i was having a particularly hard day trying to deal with the upcoming surgery ( i am now 3 months out at 35 years old) i would come in here and read posts or post my own and it would really help me through those days. ask as many questions as you can and everyone will try to answer them.
