Yesterday while I was running on the treadmill at the gym, I was watching the TV news programs on "closed caption" monitor. On the "This Week with George Stephanopolis" program, George was interviewing Sen. Bob Graham, the Floridian who has just had AVR. The Senator said that he was "8 weeks out" from his surgery, and he looked marvelous! Obviously clear-headed, vigorous looking and just "normal" appearing -- not too bad for a guy just past major heart surgery. Maybe we should ask him to sign on as our new poster boy?
Not sure if he would earn my vote, yet, but he sure earned my respect for getting it done (surgery) and getting right back to business in a big way.
Way to go, sir!
