Blood Flow
Blood Flow
Rob and Hank:
One technique that was described to me by Sue Barrett at QAS was to STAND with my hands at my sides while the machine is going through its "warming up" cycle. That makes the blood pool to your finger tips and makes the "blood letting" much easier. Once you've lanced your finger, you can certainly sit down.
It works so well that sometimes I almost beat the 20-second "no-no" period at the begining of the cycle. I have to watch the timer on the machine.
