Thanks for the continued best wishes. I got to speak to Emma on the phone last night and she as put mind at rest with some of my concerns, thanks Emma :) . I'am decorating my bedroom, which i already started, so trying to keep my mind off surgery that way. Curtis is not one bit worried about having it done, he wants me to ask the surgeon to take a picture, so he can see what it looks like:eek: kids. Thanks again everyone, it means alot to know you all care.

I'm supposing for 10 year old Curt it's just another adventure, as a lad the element of risk will probably make it more attractive.
Agree with previous posters who said going under the knife is in many ways easier than standing by an OHS loved one.
Dig deep, be strong, my thoughts are with you.:)

Sending all my best wishes your way. I know what you mean, if only we could do it for them--so much easier for all concerned. Don't forget how resilient these young ones are. Their bodies are growing and changing so much already, they'll take this big change in stride, and just keep on growing. I'll be keeping both of you in my thoughts.

You're more than welcome and I meant it - you can phone whenever you like! :) Sometimes it helps just to have a chat.

My Bestest Wishes

My Bestest Wishes

Hey there. Can't imagine what it's like to be in the waiting room for Curt.

The 1 hour wait I had with Jack for a minor op was stressful enough.

Don't forget I'm in Staffs which is on the way for you. You can always stop in for a cuppa or call for a chat.

My thoughts are with you.

Lotti, i have no idea where staffs is but lovely of you to offer, thanks.
I know it is going to be far from easy but have done it once before, so know a little of what to expect, only it will seem different this time as he knows more being older.
I'am thankfull that i don't have to go down to theater with him, that is a heart breaking part but my husband has to do all the hard bits, he is so good.

Hi Paula, sorry I didn't see this earlier, you are all in my prayers. Justin had surgery when he was 10, but it was an ER, with 1/2 a day notice, so I can't give any tips. Just know many people have Curt and his parents in their prayers, Lyn

Hi lyn, thanks nice to hear from you, hope Justin is doing well. I havn't rang the hospital back as my husband wants to wait, we should hear something soon.
