My fav. nascar driver is greg biffle. he won pepsi 400 at daytona last year. he rocks!!! my opinion.

What about that new rookie I cant remember his name but he was in the top 5 the first few races.

NASCAR Cousin

NASCAR Cousin

We follow Kurt Busch #97 who is my wife's cousin.

You're at least in the Roush "camp" with Greg Biffle.

Have ya seen the NASCAR 3-D movie? It's excellent.

Cheers!

Four votes is kinda pathetic!!!

I got into NASCAR some after the Intimidator met the wall... Dunno why, but I happened to watch that race and kept watching through most of the season.

I'm more partial to CART series. Juan Montoya is my guy, though he's not doing CART any longer I guess.

There's two CART races near here, one in Cleveland and one in Toronto. Watching the Cleveland race would be much easier for me because I have family on the west side and I know Cleveland really well (for all KINDS of obvious and not so obvious reasons) but I can also do Toronto fairly easily...

The cool part is my wife likes racing too so she'd be all for going if we could work out the details. =)

Would probably leave the kid behind though, don't think he's quite old enough to enjoy it, wouldn't like the noise.

He likes watching some on TV though. =)

ok maybe i dont have alot of choices, but this was my fist poll so sorry. next time i use a poll for nascar ill put more than 5 choices. so i hope more people say biffle b/c he is not really popular....help him. LOL. bye

Son and Grandson are fans

Son and Grandson are fans

They took a camper down last Thursday night to Atlanta. Camped with friends. Grandson went to truck race on Friday night..and played at amusement park set up on grounds all weekend..and big race on Sunday.. Only bad thing..traffic so heavy after race,,I think 140,000 fans there. It was 10 P.M. before they got home and school the next day..but he made it.:D Dale, Jr..won ..so I voted for him:D :D Bill Elliot lives about 30 miles from me..In Dawsonville, Ga....where all the old drivers got their experience..in North Ga. Mountains running moonshine to Atlanta.:D :D :D :D :D :D Bonnie

I didn't vote...only because I don't follow any particular driver. Rather, I follow vehicle make.

*pauses*

Heh...any guesses as to what I follow? ;).

*awaits drum roll*

C'mon...I know ya'll know it.

*bbbrrrrrrrrrr ump bump* <--simulated drum roll

Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Geez...how hard was that? ;).

I don't follow NASCAR as much as I used to for a few reasons....

1) None of the cars run on the track are offered by the manufacturers. I have never seen anyone driving a 2-door (coupe) Taurus or Intrepid on the public roads and highways; nor do I see RWD, V8 versions of the Monte Carlo, Taurus or Intrepid being used daily today.

2) With the new body rules, you really can't tell the cars apart anymore.

3) Along with 1 and 2, none of the cars look "stock" at all. Stock car/NASCAR racing used to be "stock" cars off the show room floor (more or less) with a few mods for racing.

Still, if I'm able to watch a race, I do.

I am a avid nascar fan. I never was interesed in it until about 10 years ago. I went to a live race and I was hooked. We go to both the NH races and the Spring Dover Race. We have been trying to get to a new track every year.... Bonnie, when I get the chance to go to Atlanta, I'll have to look you up. So far my favorite is Talladega, I liked it more than Daytona. Something about ther thunder you hear when the cars come down the front stretch.
If any of you get the chance to go to Charolette, sign up for the Race Shop tours- it is well worth the $50.
