Ross, I go off for ONE dang day and your world gets turned upside down. This just can't be happening. One in the family is too many and you have enough to tote around on your shoulders. I am sure you are in TOTAL shock about Jeremiah. How old is he? I know all of them are quite young. Lyn must be beside herself, too. Hug her for me. Please know that all of you are in my prayers and in my heart. Ann

Hi Ross

please remember we are all thinking of you and the family.

and praying all goes well

oh ross!!!
i can't believe you started your day that way!!
i'm so sorry you all have to go through this; must be scary for jeremiah (and you and lyn).
are you able to go and see him? i can't believe that after all you've been through, now this....
the good in this is that you are so knowledgeable an advocate for your son (and unfortunately experienced too).
i pray this all turns out to be something very minor and that they thoroughly check jeremiah and find nothing else.
please let us know how he is when you know more.
your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
ony good wishes, sylvia

Ross,
I echo all the concern and prayers of everyone before me. I too have the same worries about my 2 kids and their hearts. My greatest fear is having passed my heart problems along to them.

Continue to keep us all posted.

Karlynn

Hey Ross, thinking of you and Jeremiah out here in Seattle. Glad to hear that he's getting help quickly - crossing all fingers and toes that this will pass quickly.

Johnny

I talked to the nurse again this evening. The tenative plan is to release him tomorrow. They did the EKG and an Echo which I have yet to hear the results of. Here we go, chasing another Cardiologist down that's all over the place. I told Jere that no matter what the cost, it's imperative that he gets the discharge meds and that he follows up with the Cardiologist. I know him, I'm going to have to do it for him or it's not going to happen and he'll be right back in there.

Kids--You wanna kill them yourself sometimes, but you love em too much to do that!

Thanks Ross. Sounds like he is doing better. Did they give him a steroid by chance? They usually kick in fast. I don't like them....but sometimes you don't have a choice. Short term consumption is not an issue. It's the individuals that get stuck on them that suffer complications.

Will keep Jere in my thoughts and prayers.

As far as I know, no to the steriods. Believe me, I'm well aware of what they do. Remember I'm wearing a titanium left hip because of them. ;)

So sorry to hear about your son. Hoping and praying your worries will be eased soon, and he will be fine.

John

Just to chime in here too that my not-always-great-connections with the Man (or it may be it's a Woman) upstairs will be tapped for you. The silver lining is you KNOW what to ask and what to do.

Paul

Ross,

I am so sorry to hear about your son. (see what happens when I don't check the morning mail?)

I hope the echo results come back(SOON) showing no problems.

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care,

Ross,

Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

If your son is anything like my Ryan you'll have to practically hand feed the pills to him! Even after you tell them they have a major problem, they somehow think they're invincible. While we, the parents know how very untrue that is.

We love you, Ross. Know that we care.

Ross

My youngest is 23, you never stop worrying about them no matter how old they are. I also insisted they find a job with health insurance, trying to get a policy own their own is so expensive.

I'm hoping this will be the end of his ailment, and the antibiotics do the trick.
Prayers are being sent you and your families way, speedy recovery!

Terry

Ross - Sorry that I haven't been around much, and hearing of your son's trials gives me cause for pause -- kids. . .

Since I've been keeping a line open to the upstairs, I will keep Jere in my discussion with the Boss.

Oh Ross,

Oh Ross,

(((((HUG))))) I am so sorry to hear that your son is ill. The thing he has going for him is that I am sure that you will see to it that they take good care of him and examine him thoroughly.

As far as the meds go, Ross his doctors office can proably enroll him in the indigent programs. Each drug company has different criteria for giving out their meds for free, but it certainly would be worth looking into.

You will be in my thoughts today.

The student Doctor came in and saw him. Asked him if he was ready to go home yet. He said he told him that his stomach was still hurting, which is a new one on me, but that could be from the antibiotics too. I guess they're going to release him sometime today. We're getting ready to go see him and one of Lyns friends that's just around the corner on the same floor. She had a stroke last Monday. I guess I'll talk to you all later today about it all.

Ross,

I'm sorry you're going through this on top of everything else. Last summer, my five-year-old, Jessica ended up in the children's hospital for a fluke GI bug. It really shook me up and made me realize how you can have every "thing" in the world but without your child's health and wellness, it all means nada, zippo, zilch.

I'll pray that your son sticks to his recovery plan. Maybe the episode will bring you closer together and help him understand better what you've been going through.

God bless,
