You have responded to my threads a few times when I have questioned surgery for my own mother who is also a diaylsis patient with multiple illnesses. Your response was sensitive, warm and caring. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a parent is so very difficult. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I sent her surgeon a note this week telling him I am so grateful God blessed him with the skill and compassion to give my mom to us for another 7 months.He used to call her the miracle lady. It was exactly seven months since her surgery on the day she passed on. Her cardiologist explained she suffered a bradyarrhythmia and it is a very peaceful way to pass...the heart just slows down and then stops.

My mother died of breast cancer three years ago, at the age of 64. Mom taught me how to live and how to die - she was so brave and full of faith in her God (as it sounds was your mother).

i am very sad to hear of your loss. may God give you all the strength you need. I am sure you will treasure all the happy memories. i lost my husband a month ago after a mitral valve replacement. He only survived 16 days post op. I can understand what you are going through.
