Dear Joanne,

Dear Joanne,

I am so very sorry to hear about your mom. It is tough anytime, but this close to Christmas is so much harder. Please don't take this wrong, but it is a blessing that she didn't have to suffer for a long period of time. I watched my sister suffer for 13 months before cervical cancer finally took her life - not her spirit or her will, but her life. It was so horrible watching her suffer so; I felt so helpless. Similarly, she died December 18th.........a very rough Christmas. Fortunately, there were no young kids around at that time, so we just didn't celebrate that year...........the wounds were too fresh and too deep. You have my love and prayers. Many hugs are being sent. Janet

JoAnne, you have my deepest sympathies. I lost my dad close to Christmas five years ago, and it's really tough. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to all

Thanks to all

Thanks to my online VR family. It is so comforting to have so much support. Tomorrow will be the really hard day with the funeral in the morning and the rest of the day at my sister's. I will be able to stay out of work until Thursday.
Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas.
Jo

Joanne,
I totally understand how difficult it is to lose a parent because no matter how old we are is not an easy thing to do.
Losing someone at the holidays must be especially hard.
You have my sincere sympathy.

Thinking of You

Thinking of You

Joanne, I hope you have a treasury of happy memories to look back on. I lost my father in '97, and I still miss him just as much as I did then! The memories help counterbalance the lost dreams. Brian
