I GOT IT!!!
I GOT IT!!!!!
I GOT A PRESCRIPTION FOR A HOME MONITOR FROM THE CARDIO!!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???

OMG!!!!

HE'S GONNA SEND A LETTER TO MY DOC INDICATING THAT .2 DIFFERENCE IN A INR READING IS NOT SIGNIFICANT
AND LABS ARE AT LEAST THAT MUCH OFF WHEN DOING INR TESTS.
HE ALSO FELT THAT I KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING (Thanks to everyone here )ABOUT AND HOW TO MONITOR MY INR AND UNDERSTOOD HOW MUCH AN INCONVENIENCE GOING TO THE LAB EVERY 2WEEKS AND HOW THE VEINS IN MY ARMS ARE GETTING SORE.

OMG!!!! DID I TELL YOU I GOT A PRESCRIPTION FOR A HOME MONITOR???

Lets just hope my GP will agree since she will be the doc in charge and she doesn't drop me as a patient. So, the prescription won't be filled until I hear from her. But Hey, I got that damn little piece of paper..............finally!!!

I also mentioned between him (cardio) and her (my doc), if they wanted to you me as a test patient, I am more than happy to do so. That way they both can educate their other patients.

Time to celebrate.
One more time...............

Oh yea, BP is good, valve sounds crisp and clear and he wasn't at all concerned about the PVC's that I experience last week. Indicating that Beta-Blocker meds don't always do the trick, in fact could make matters worse due to the side effects.
So........I'm good to go.

Sorry, but I just had to share to those who understand all the crap that I've gone through to get this little piece of paper.

Now if we could only here back from Ottawgal and how her appointment went.

Freddie, good for you! I would drop my pcp like a hot potato if she tried to stop this from happening.

I'm glad you got a good report as well.

What?:) Freddie got a prescription? :D:D NO WAY, GET OUTTA TOWN, HOW AWESOME IS THAT? :p:D:p:D I bet you're going for a Coagucheck XS;)

Two silly questions, if your cardio can write the prescription, why can't he record your INRs and all you have to do is call them in? Can he write your coumadin script? Mine does through the Coumadin Clinic

My oh my ..................

My oh my ..................

will wonders ever cease?

Way to go, YAY

Go ahead, stick yourself sensible.

Congratulations to you Freddie! That is great news. Perhaps, you will be able to share a few tips on how to get my doc on board with home testing ;)

So happy for you!!!!

One hurdle at a time Ottawagal. First hurdle was getting the RX the next hurdle is getting my GP on board and okaying the usage. If not, well.....I guess I might be SOL.

Freddie,
NO.....you will not be sh-t outta luck.
Your GP has already proven her incompetence in handling your INR dosing, if she refuses to handle you with your own monitor, tell her to take a hike. :(

oh Bina, easier said than done my girl. Tell her to take a hike.....then what?? There are no doctors in this city who are taking in new patients.
