This morning I could have sworned that I heard the jingling of her little collar as she made her way into the bedroom to tell me, "get up mommy, it's time to let us out."

I remember when we had to put our dog to sleep 10 years ago or so. The day after, I swore I heard his paws across the kitchen floor in the morning.... Sometimes, I still do....
