I slept in my bed for a couple of hours last night for the first time since comming home from the hospital on Monday. I also had a few "tough Nights" :eek:and have found that pain management is key. I take one Percodan about 20 mins before I want to go to sleep and that helps me get a good sleep The next day I just use Ibuprophin and I feel pretty good all day. That probably wasnt heprin they injected in your belly, I have to inject lovenox twice a day till they get my INR to 2.0 for 2 days straight. I have to take the warfarin because I had afib I hope that it will be temporary

I also experienced the night sweats, chills, very strong shivering in the first couple of weeks after surgery. I found being outside in the cold actually painful (even when I was bundled up). I also had a terrible time sleeping in my bed the first two nights home, so we purchased a motorized recliner and it was heaven. Slept in that for almost four weeks. I had a difficult time transitioning to the bed and sleeping flat. Thankfully all this passed once I want past the 4-5 week mark. Hang in there!
