Rob...

Congrats on your 6 years. Hard to believe that it has been this long. My 6th anniversary will be this August. I have had no problems so far with A-Fib or flutter. Still taking only Coumadin.
It was so good to hear from you and I loved reading your story. What an experience you had in Germany. It must have been scary for you. Glad that you did okay in the end and apparently had no problems crossing the Atlantic a short time later.
While you are so close, you can't come back to the states without visiting my old country which is The Netherlands.
PROOST to many, many wonderful years.
Let us hear from you from time to time.

Hey Rob-that's-you!

Hey Rob-that's-you!

Congratulations on your sixth anniversary!! May you have many, many more years of good health adventures, but not necessarily like the adventure you just had in Germany!!

God bless -

Hi,

I'm a little late getting back to everyone, but better late than never.

Thank you all for your kind words, and I'll try to answer some of the questions asked.

As far as international Insurance, the company I work for has a plan with a company called SOS International. They provide 24 Hour Worldwide Assistance and emergency evacuation services if required. They are available 24/7 and will direct me to a hospital that has English speaking doctors , and will also provide them with my complete medical details, as well as inform them of my guarantee of insurance coverage and medical expense guarantee and payment.

Now, I didn't call them when I had A-fib. I just figured that the hospital in the town I was at, could handle A-fib simply enough. If I have an incident in the future, I'll have to give them a try, to compare. I'll let you know how that goes.

Twinmaker.. Yes the World Cup Activities will be very close to where I am working, but, since all the hotels are booked, or nearly booked, the people working on the project with me have decided to hold our meetings during the month of June in England, so... looks like I will miss out on my chance to be in the thick of it all, and even possibly get to attend a game. But, on the bright side... I have never been to England, so I will be sure to enjoy my trip there.

Marty... Glad to hear about the sotalol. Funny thing is, that when I had my checkup with my cardiologist upon returning to the states, he also mentioned that drug as the next step if these episodes continue, unless I elected to have surgery to correct it that is. and from what I have been reading the surgery is not 100% guaranteed to cure it.

Mr MC... If you are making the swing through Nashville this June, and I happen to be here, and not overseas, let's try and meet. Let me know your dates that you will be passing through, and I'll check my schedule as well.

Christina.. Prost! The beer is very good I have to admit.

Rush20.. I think that perhaps stress, lack of sleep and maybe too much partying on the weekend all contributed to bringing it on.

NOW... as far as those frequent flier miles.... They're staying with me, until my wife uses them that is. We are already trying to plan 2 trips for her to come over while I am working there. So...Karlynn and DavesMom..sorry..:)

Ross...11 years...Congrats... nice to know our insides are through tearing. Knock on Wood! Hope you have many more years ahead. You'll have to fill me in on how to get a picture on here so I can post an occasional one that I take.

Wishing you all many healthy years and anniversaries ahead!

Auf Wiederschen...

*chuckles*

In all my years on VR, I think you're the first one to ever address me as "Mr MC" ... I almost missed that you were talking to me ... he he he he. People on my MC boards, of course, address me as "Mr MC", of course, but that's a tad bit different group ;). he he he

Anyway, I'll be in the Nashville area June 23-25 for the Monte Carlo Nationals (what else?!?!?!?!), which were originally scheduled for the Marriott Hotel near the airport, but due to bad scheduling on that hotel's part (scheduled another car group that same weekend), the NMCOA opted to move the MC Nats to Goodletsville (a Holiday Inn there). Do you think you'll be around that weekend?

Rob,
I'm sorry I missed your post regarding your anniversary.
A happy sixth to you.
I certainly remember you from the 'old' days, time sure goes by fast.
I have my tenth coming up this summer, where has my life gone?
That was quite an adventure you had in Germany, I'm glad it all turned out OK.
I was there on company business some years ago, lived in a town down south called Augsburg. The scenery in and around Bavaria is really spectacular.
So enjoy that 6th and here's to many more down the road.
Rich
