Monkeypox! What the heck is next?

This is REAL close to home. Next town over from us. This article states it rare to pass it from person to person. Read somewhere else it acts like smallpox and is very contagious. Going to check on WHO and the CDC. My kitty's vet is in Villa Park. I sure hope she was not exposed. Gosh.

Been thru the hamster and snake thing with grandson. Both were disasters Hamsters were cute until they escaped. Heard them in wall for weeks. Sent the snake home to his Mom's last summer..He escaped his cage and she went to use bathroom in dark..Yup..there he was all curled up.. Next day was given away Just heard on news that anyone who had purchased a Prarie Dog in Ill. Wis..not to turn them loose in the wilds. bonnie

Granbonny, my oldest son used to keep a few snakes as pets. His favorite snake, Herbie, was a large yellow rat snake. He would wrap him around his bike handle bars and take him with him places. He would hang him up on a coat hook in the hall when he can home. Needless to say, Herbie was frequently missing. He too showed up curled under the toilet seat one night by my husband. Actually this was over 30 years ago and I can still hear my husband.(LOL). They were actually not bad pets if you could get over the idea that they were snakes.
