Hi Dave,
Nice to meet you.I've lived in Italy for the last 31 years came over in high school and later meet my future husband. Why do you come to Milan????Business???Next time you come get in touch.I go in to the hospital this Wednesday March 12th and my operation is on March 14th ugh!!!!Wanted a bio-valve but my cardiologist thinks a mech would be better as i most probably will have a problem of fibrilation as my atrio(sp) is big so I would have to do coumadin all the same so he thinks it's wiser for me to have a mech and not have to have surgery again.Hopefully the surgeon will beable to repair but he's not sure untill he goes in there.Once I'm out of the hospital I'll let all of you know...don't worry. Thanks for you responce,Shana

Hi Shana-

I want to wish you the very best surgical result possible. You'll do just fine, and I hope someone can let us know how things went.

So Bon Voyage and smooth sailing, and we'll all be here waiting to hear about you and your shiny new heart.

The best for you

Everything will go wonderful for you this week. Let's take all of my positive thoughts with your positive thoughts, and then add all the wonderful wishes of your family and everyone that you know. The result is tons of thoughts to bring you through this week with the best results possible.

When you are up in the mood over the next few weeks, drop me a line. I will be in Milan again in September.

Shana,

It was nice to talk to you during the chat session today. As one who will be there just a few weeks after you, stay focused on the good things. All of these good folks have convinced me of that. And some day I hope we can meet at the Ufizi Gallery (one of my dream places to visit).

Shana

I under stand the fear, I'm 4 & 1/2 months post-op with a mechanical mitral valve, I kept myself so busy pre-surgery I didn't have much time to fret, I had 3 pages of "to do" lists. My family thought I was lossing it, but it was my way of dealing with the situation.

I cried post-surgery, just to release all the stress built-up, I do that all the time react after the problem is resolved, but I always felt better after a good cry.

My positive thoughts and prayers will be with you,

Terry40

Shana,

I just want to wish you the best and a speedy recovery. You'll do fine. I celebrate my four month anniversary the 11th.

See you on the other side of the mountain. You'll be in my prayer the 14th.

Hey Shana,
Welcome to the site. Just know that you are not the only one who was scared. I know I was and I am a firefighter! When I was ready for my surgery on 4/21/03 I put myself in the hands of the Lord and let him to his thing. You will be surprised at how well you will feel after the surgery. Just keep praying. Know that you have a lot of people here that are thinking of you and praying for you. Keep us posted.

Dave

Keep your fires small!
