After reading posts about medical ID a few weeks back, I decided wearing a tag during sports events was a good idea for me. There's really not much wrong with me, but if I became unconcho during a triathlon, my zipper could make a medic wonder if I'm on coumadin, have a pacemaker, have arrhythmia problems, am allergic to lidocaine, etc. So I decided to get a tag with a few boring facts.

The best deal I found was at:

http://www.medids.com/

$9.95 includes free engaving + additional $5 to engrave the back side.

Nothing fancy, just a basic tag. I ordered over the web and had delivery 7 days later. Check these guys out if you're looking for inexpensive ID.

I have a bracelet, but absolutely hate wearing it. Since you've mentioned it though, I don't think it covers everything anyway. I got it before my last surgery and it doesn't say anything about my pacemaker. I guess I need to look into a different one or maybe add to the one I have.

Thanks for putting the thought in my head.
