Mayo called today.....

and said they moved my EP Drs consultation earlier. We begin our rounds of appts on the 21st (Dec), with lab work, echo, consultation with Dr. Miller (cardiologist). Then, the next day WAS just supposed to be a TEE at 1pm, but now I will see EP Drs in the a.m. Originally, my appt with them wasn't until morning of the 23rd, and I was thinking that they would need to do another EP study, but didn't see when was THAT going to happen. Now, it might happen on the 23rd, and I'm also supposed to see Dr. Schaff (surgeon) that day.
Its going to be hectic, but that's good......the busier, the better. Just want to "git er done".
We had a small Christmas with our 11 yr old son last night. There will be no other chance for that, with the shows we're doing every night. I think he'll do fine while we're gone.....he's already got plans for movies with friends, making cookies with his aunt, and lots of other things.
We got the SKYPE all set up on Grandma & Grandpa's end, so we'll be able to talk to them, AND Sam (our son).
I'm working a ten hour shift today & tomorrow, and then I'm done! (for a while).

Okay.....we're on the final countdown. Flying out Monday the 20th. As far as I know, the surgery is still set for the 27th. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! Cherie

Cherie, I had my EP study and saw my surgeon all in the same day. Hopefully all that awful weather they are having will have cleared out before you get there. I wish you guys the best of luck. I hope your husband will be able to keep us posted. We will be thinking of you.

Good choice to use Mayo IMO. I had a good experience there in July. One of the many things they are so good at there is making the best use of your time as well as communicating between all the different departments so that as you complete each test, the Docs already have the results of the previous procedures, even the same day!

If it wasn't during Christmas they'd have you ready in a shorter time.

Bring a warm coat, maybe spend Christmas in Minneapolis and we'll see you on the other side.
