This forum is a treasured resource that I need to read at least once every two or three days. I post when I feel I have something valuable to offer or sometimes, even a word of encouragement on the Pre- forum for all those waiting. Their frustration at the inevitable delays are something I can identify wholly with so I feel a level of service in replying to them than I do to some others.

Statistically, valve patients are a rare group and we've proven that; in character, faith and hope we are even more rare when we share here on VR.

Take Heart,
Pamela.

I totally agree with all of you. I would'nt know what I do today if it was'nt for this forum. I have been here since the beginning of 2006 and have never left, thought about it a couple times but never did. The information we get here is of great value to our everyday lives as heart patients. I have become friends with so many of you and cherish you as family. Someday we will meet and it will be a joyous time. :) God bless all of you and as Cooker says, "peace out: :)

think we all 'thought about it' from time to time - even our dear Bonnie. sometimes we'd talk about it - maybe the talking about it was enough to get by. bless Hank for all this.

i couldn't imagine not having this site to come to when i found out that i needed surgery. everyone was so patient and helpful and probably kept me from going crazy while i waited for surgery. i would have to say that was probably one of the worst times in my life. the worst was when i was told that my son had leukemia when he was 3. we have both managed to beat our ailments. i may not post as often as i should but i am reading the threads every day and i post when i feel there is something i could add. Especially for the people in the waiting room. We all know that is the worst. This website is a godsend and the people on it are absolutely wonderful.
Sue i am very sorry about your loss. it is very difficult losing a child. I didn't lose mine but when he was diagnosed with leukemia at 3 you still have all those thoughts. i hope that the bereavement site is helping you cope.

Cooker what a wonderful thread.
