Christina,

What a lovely photo and a beautiful dress. Congratulations! And thank you for letting us in on your little "secret" ;).

Now, do you have any tips on encouraging your man to propose? So far I've stopped short of taking Jim into a jeweller's and saying "I want that one" (!) but it's starting to seem a good idea :D .

Gemma.

Christina:

Congratulations to you and Wayne! Both of you look radiant in the photo.
Was your little dog a ring bearer? :D

Years ago, I went to a cat show in Oklahoma City, where 2 of the members were married that Saturday at noon in one of the judging rings. Their honor attendants were 2 Siamese cats, if I remember correctly. :D

Christina,
Congratulations and special wishes for many, many years of wedded bliss. :)

Again, thank you

Again, thank you

so much everyone for your congratulations on Wayne's and my marriage. I am overwhelmed with your sweet uplifting words.

Can you believe that photo was taken with an inexpensive digital camera and taken by the friend who stood up with us, no less, who is not a photographer?! There is always ONE photo out of dozens that surprises you.

As for enjoying the high of wedded bliss before it wears off - we have been together for seven years, living together for five, so believe me I KNOW that the high of the wedding day will not last, but it is a deeper feeling of love now - marriage has done that to both of us. We have a sense of calm and pure joy deep down that I know will never go away. It is kind of wonderful to be Mr. and Mrs.

AND how I got Wayne to marry me - it's called an ultimatum!! Hee. I'm leaving and I'm taking the dog - that sort of thing. ;) Believe me, Wayne LOVES that dog, but I guess he loves me a little also. Seeing Wayne now and how happy he seems, I know I didn't totally force him into something he didn't want to do.

P.S. As for our bichon frise, Stanley, he was not allowed in the parlor of the Healy House where we were married, which was a bummer, but he was there for everything else - most of our professional photos were taken with him (we don't get those photos back for another two weeks but can't wait to see them).

AND...saying Wayne looks like Paul McCartney a bit - he gets that ALL the time!! I don't quite see it, but kind of do - it is the mouth and the bone structure in the face - the eyes and hair are totally different. We have strangers coming up on the street to him, telling him that. :)~

Again, thanks for all your heartfelt well wishes.

P.s.

P.s.

As for the JOP - he was in period clothing - meaning a top hat and tails. He was a big man - with a very, very, very dry sense of humor (kind of reminded me of Ross). The JOP is a 5th generation Leadvillite and is really into the history of the town - hence one of the things he does is do cemetery tours talking about the history of Leadville.

Congratulations!!! You sound so happy and the photo is just beautiful! Wishing you many many happy yeras together!

That's lovely!!

That's lovely!!

Congratulations! What a great picture of two happy people!! It's so nice to hear some good news around here after all the sad ones lately. My husband Robert and I have been married for 20 years now, but I can still remember our happiness on the day we got married back on April17th, 1984! Thanks for sharing your story with us!
Débora :)

You both look so happy and your wedding sounds wonderful. My husband and I have been married 38 years next month. I won't say we never fight but we always have fun making up. He always teases me that hes going to trade me in on a new model and I always tell him she better cook and clean. I'm not going anywhere.

What a beautiful picture of the two of you. I'm so happy for you both, Christina. As Gina mentioned, we will sure miss seeing you in Vegas this year. Best wishes and here's to a long, happy marriage. Cheers. :) :)

for your well wishes on Wayne's and my recent marriage.

Gina,

Leadville is at 10,200 feet elevation - Denver is half of that - so Leadville is the "two-mile" high city so to speak. :) We live at 7,500 feet elevation here in Estes Park. Thankfully I was no more short of breath last weekend than my heart-healthy husband and the people who stood up with us. I was happy about that. EVERYONE is short of breath in Leadville!

We put the couple who stood up with us, up in the Ice Palace Inn. We had stayed there before but this time we had our little dog, Stanley, along with us and the IPI does not allow pets. Did Giles make your breakfast for you? Our friends loved the IPI.
Giles made German Apple stuffed toast (kind of a combination of his stuffed French Toast and German Apple pancakes). Also smoked bacon and fresh sqeezed OJ, wonderful coffee and cranberry bread. Amazing food. I stayed in the King's Tower (3 flights of steps at that altitude was interesting with a-fib). I walked very slowly. I had my 2 cats but they were cozy in their special habitat in the car right outside my window. Luckily the weather was perfect for them to be in the car.
I hope your life together stays as perfect as it has been and as your wedding was.
