Since Melissa "outted" me regarding my recent marriage to Wayne, I am going to have Ross post a photo for me as I don't know how to do it!! It will be forthcoming.

Yes, Wayne and I were married on October 15, in a very small, private ceremony at the Healy House (an historic clapboard home) in Leadville, Colorado. We had a couple of friends stand up with us and were married by a JOP in Leadville who also does the Halloween cemetery tours there (he was a great addition to the ceremony)! :) It was a special, beautiful, wonderful, blessed day all around. We had a Victorian theme for the wedding - it was so lovely.

Wayne and I have been together for seven years and he never once wandered from my side during my heart surgery two years ago. I guess if we got through that we can get through anything!!

Wayne and I will be having a wedding reception in late January here in our home and you all on VR.com are getting an early invitation to attend! Even you Ross - just don't flirt with me in front of Wayne - he's a mean, jealous guy! NOT!!!

I feel so lucky and blessed to have had this chance to marry for the first time (Wayne's second), even though Wayne and I are in the "Indian summer" of our lives. God is good, life is precious and I hope that Wayne and I will look back after many, many years of married life and smile with gratitude and happiness.

And to think I had you only 60 miles away from me. :( I missed my opportunity darn it, but then again, Wayne was there then too!

It sure is great to see you so happy, after knowing how scared and uncertain about everything, you were before. Congratulations! Even though you should have been mine, I guess I'm just as elated as you are.

Wow!!!! A BIG huge congratulations Christina! You and Wayne look so very happy in your photo. I wish you many many years of happiness together.

I was in Leadville last year on my way from California to Ohio. Other than finding it hard to breathe that high up, the visit was amazing. What a wonderful place to get married. I saw the Healy House while there and stayed at a great B&B called the Ice Palace Inn. It is nice to be able to picture the place where you were married.
It certainly looks and sounds like you both have found your soulmate and I wish you many, many years of happiness together.
Thanks for sharing.

Best Wishes..

Thank you everyone

Thank you everyone

for your well wishes on Wayne's and my recent marriage.

Gina,

Leadville is at 10,200 feet elevation - Denver is half of that - so Leadville is the "two-mile" high city so to speak. :) We live at 7,500 feet elevation here in Estes Park. Thankfully I was no more short of breath last weekend than my heart-healthy husband and the people who stood up with us. I was happy about that. EVERYONE is short of breath in Leadville!

We put the couple who stood up with us, up in the Ice Palace Inn. We had stayed there before but this time we had our little dog, Stanley, along with us and the IPI does not allow pets. Did Giles make your breakfast for you? Our friends loved the IPI.

Wayne and I rented a darling little Victorian home for the honeymoon. That came as an accident as the motel we usually stay in in Leadville that allowed pets, no longer allows them. :( I frantically got on the internet and found this rental house. It was perfect - a little honeymoon cottage.

I'm glad, Gina, that you can picture where we were married. The Healy House is so full of history and I liked the thought that over the last 100 plus years of that house being there, it has seen births, deaths, other marriages, and "life."

I was thinking how amazing it is to be posting our marriage details to so many people that I have never met (and some I have) on VR.com - yet feeling like I am corresponding with family. I appreciate you all very much. Thank you for being so happy for Wayne and I.

Congratulations! And may your grossly distorted vision of wedded bliss stay with you forever. :D J/K You are an adorable couple. Christina, you look absolutely lovely, and I dunno why, but Wayne reminds me of Paul McCartney - guess it's the smile. I am absolutely thrilled for you and the description of your wedding is so entertaining. I am just trying to picture the JOP in his Halloween cemetery costume performing your wedding. :D Heehee! Congrats and many hugs. Janet
