HI all...
Just another update...he was moved out of the ICU 48 hrs after surgery and yesterday 72 hours after surgery they removed all the chest tubes, central line and foley. They also changed his pain meds from Fentanyl to oral pain meds (thankgoodness he was in a stupor with the Fentanyl PCA). He has only ran one fever postop and has had a few episodes with irregular heartbeats.
Yesterday he walked around the unit 5 times.
I am thinking that he will be discharged on tuesday....
