Mary - what a gift you are for being so loyal and keeping us up to date as you get news.

Brian, m'dear, God will keep His hand on your shoulder through it all, so keep the faith. You are now added to my prayer list. I pray for your successful/good report. Don't forget that we are keeping the light on for you. Blessins..........

GODSPEED!

Mary, Im sure you'd have mentioned it if you heard, but since i'm not the most patient person...understatement.. Do you know If brian has a date yet? I'm thinking he will at least hve a few days notice so they can stop his coum and start bridging if needed.

I haven't heard, but I'll send a note and see what I can find out. I hope Brian's spending this week-end sailing and enjoying his friends and is too busy to answer me until Monday morning!

Dear Gang, Thanks so much for all the love and support! The docs were surprised, as they've never seen a case like mine. First off Dacron grafts don't go bad, + they'd never seen a case where the old tissue was wrapped around the graft. They have no idea when the leaks occurred but that extra wrapping is what has been keeping me alive! All is going well in preparation. I am in better health than the first time, and much more able to deal with it emotionally. Cecilia is a godsend, and we have great plans for my recuperation. We'll stay at my mother's old house, with my great friend Ray, + his friend Claire who is a licensed nurse. I have insurance, and hope the financial picture won't be in jeopardy. I am ready and motivated to climb the mountain. I can already see the view on the other side, and it has never looked better. Love to you all, your valve bro

Brian,

If you had to go through this, I'm happy to read how well set up you are with a recovery place and support team. Very best wishes to you on Wednesday and the following days.

Brian, so nice to hear your "voice".....we will anxiously await surgery news on Wednesday, and Mary will be sure
to keep us all up to date. It sounds like you have a great support team and that is a huge comfort. :)

Thanks for the information Mary.

Brian, You'll be in my prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!

Brian, I've been thinking about you alot. I can imagine how surprised you and your docs were, your little valve bro Justin needed one of his dacron grafts replaced when it wasn't quite 2 years old (the bovine valve was "perfect' so they left that alone) and almost every docotr or nurse we saw mentione how surrised they were that something that "should" have lasted pretty much forever, needed replaced let alone so soon. Sometimes it just isn't fun being "special" :)
I HOPE yu are able to feel all our prayers like a warm hug around you as you head into the OR tomorrow.
