This thread inspired me and motivated me to walk alot post surgery. In fact, I wore out floors in the hospital to a point that they discharged me on day 3 ;)

I was 22 when I had AVR. Now remember I was 22 and thought I was unstoppable. I am not writing this because I want to brag, just want to share my story. Six weeks after surgery I played in a beach volleyball tourney and got 3rd place. When I visited my doc to do the physical and told him what I did, he was in shock. He ask how I felt and the truth was better than ever... Finally I didn't see little stars or felt so fatigued.. Now 39 I am still playing but just for fun. I cant keep up with the youngsters.
