left Chest pain after avr

hello everyone. 6 weeks after operation. i suffered from a chest pain 2 days ago went to Emergency service my doc came got x-ray,echo, cbc,inr but found nothing. he prescribed painkiller and i am fine now. what do u think about this? this can be a side effect of beta blockers or cold?

Can you describe the pain you experienced in a little more detail. I would suspect either pleural or cardiac effusion, but if neither xrays nor echo showed anything, I'm scratching my head.

I think that it was related with the bones and was increasing when i take deep breath . no sign of effusion also i got penicilin G IM for infection. maybe it helped me to recover.

I would still suspect an underlying effusion, but maybe the antibiotic took care of whatever inflamation was causing it. If it comes back, go back to the er and have them repeat the xrays and echo.

i had pains and aches shortly after my surgery even went to the er the first day back because i had pains when i took deep breathes, but they couldn't find anything...I think its part of the healing process it takes awhile..

i also got pericardial tamponade post op 10 days and reoperated for this but this was different so i wonder what was it.
