Thought I'd start a new thread so the updates weren't so far down the threads.

i always feel like I need to apologize for my few posts. I know you each undrstand but I have been where you are waiting in the internet waiting room waiting for some news of some child I have learned to care about deeply, so I thank you for you patiece and understanding.
Andrew had a little respitory distress this morning and his doctors had to do some bagging and ventilator adjustments and "things" to get him out of it. He had a couple chest tubes put in to relieve some air out of the chest cavity also.
Andrew is totally sedated and paralized to keep him from getting too anxious and from fighting the vent. He was making things worse for himself and was quite uncomfortable with his vent. He has been doing better since these changes have been made.
He is back on dialysis and is still producing a small amount of urine. He is quite swollen but he looks less yellow to me and his billirubin is down some. Platelets continue to climb and that is all I can think of on that line.
I don't think I have mentioned on his care page that Andrew's brother Nathan broke his collar bone on Monday as well, and visited the same clinic Andrew first went to. Quite a trip it's been for all involved.
Andrew was flown over here to Fargo, ND and a dear friend Joy was able to fly over with him. That was such a comfort to me that she was allowed to go with him and stay with him through the whole thing. she was awesome and kept calling us and keeping us informed and comforted as we drove from Chicago to Fargo.
Last I heard the tenative plan is to fly out tomorrow morning, so we will see. I was going to go in and see him after grabbing some dinner but he was having a new arterial line put in. They must be done by now but I spent some time on the phone catching up some friends and family.
Well that is about it for now. Andrew is quiet and of course very sedated. Keep praying for a good night and for safety on the plane and also that nothing happens that would keep me from being able to fly out with him. Thank you everyone! Your words of encouragement mean so much. I do read them everytime I have a chance to visit. Keep up your prayers.
In Christ's loving hands,
Wendy
