I may have found someone to buy my house and I may have found a house to buy. The contract is suppose to be finalized today for my house. Closing will be next month. I will continue to look at houses on tuesday with a particular house in mind. I just need a little more information about the house before I make an offer.

I know you live in Alabama and I was just telling Mary by e-mail..that so many of the homes in my Daddy's neighborhood is up for sale... there is a new area outside city Limits..Everyone wanting to move out there.to escape city taxes, ect... Daddy will not move..Been in the same house for many years..Good Luck..Bonnie

I am suppose to close on my house on friday. I am overwhelmed with all that I have to pack. The movers are coming to pack what I don't on sept 12 and they will actually move me on the 13th. There are a few details that have not been worked out on the house I am buying. The sellers said in the very beginning that they were going to fix some things that they are now saying that they are not going to fix. My agent is also getting more and more useless as the process continues.

On the up side. It will soon be over and I will be in my new house. YEAH!

Did you get those offers to fix things in writing, either in the offer to buy
or in the sales contract? Oral contracts in realestate sales are very hard to get enforced. You could hold some money back in escrow if your sales contract was written right.
Remember one thing, in most situations the agent works for the seller.
As long as the agent gets their commission, that is all they care about.
If you don't have one, get a lawyer- he will have your interest in mind, not the seller or the agent. Good luck!

The sellers are finally coming through. I think they were just seeing what they could get away with. They did not know that I protect myself very well and am a fighter. Having already had 3 heart surgeries, I can't help but be a fighter. Things are starting to come together. I have packed all of 9 boxes. I guess I have about another 20 to go. I am going to get the moving company pack my breakables.
