My brother and I drove up and saw my grandmother yesterday and she is now being assisted for everything...it seems as though the damage from her stroke last April is finally showing itself as she no longer has use of her left side. We sat with her through lunch, and she, thankfully, ate everything on her tray. After she ate her lunch, she slid down in her wheelchair and fell right asleep, and we put her into bed and left for a few hours so she could rest and we could see my parents. We had to leave to come home at 7:30 pm so we could be home by midnight, and we stopped for a few minutes to let grandma know we loved her and to say goodnight and then came home. I didn't want to leave her, but I guess I will have to know in my heart that she is being cared for and loved by the whole family...Again, I want to thank you all for helping me through this VERY SAD TIME....Harrybaby

Oh Harry, I'm so sorry. I've lost all my immediate family and it never gets easy to turn a loved one over to the Lord. Hugs & prayers are coming your way. You are the top of my prayer list each day.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much everyone's friendship means to me during this really sad time, and Mary, Yes, thank god, I am having this opportunity to say goodbye, and for those who didn't have the chance (Karlynn I know is one person) to say goodbye to his/her loved ones, I cannot even begin to describe my sadness that you didn't get the same opportunity, and I hurt for anyone who didn't get to say goodbye ( I didn't with my grandfather, Harold, like I am getting to with grandma..) I can only pray that your loved ones know just how much they are loved and missed as I miss mine and get ready to deal with my impending loss.
I can only thank God that I have had these years with my grandmother, and I am comforted by the fact that she will be out of pain, with all my family that have gone before her.
I can, and have thanked God that I have all of you helping me to stay as strong as I can-EVERYTHING SAID FROM EVERYONE ON VR.COM HAS BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO COMFORT ME....I just want you all to know that my heart will go on thanks to all of you. Harrybaby
