Just a little prayer or two?

There's nothing worse than a parent's anxiety over a child. I'm sure everything will turn out fine. I suspect that after 8 weeks in a foreign country she's probably quite capable of fending for herself. Just think of the stories she have when she arrives...

Praying your daughter heads home tomorrow

Praying your daughter heads home tomorrow

I am sure that things are probably a bit frightning for her and you. Either that or she is having a good time. Ah 19! It sounds like a neat trip she was on and I hope you will have a story or two to share when she returns.

heart hugs,
Wendy

Hey Karlynn,
I am sure she is having a good time. :) I will be praying that she makes a flight home soon so you don't have to worry any longer and I am sure she is ready to be home also.
Take Care

Shelby is at least back on the same continent as me. She's stuck in Toronto. They've changed the departure time of her flight 5 times. I'm assuming the plane is haveing problems. The "funny" thing is that the 2 flights to ORD scheduled after hers have already taken off. I feel like I'm in the Bill Murray movie Ground Hog Day. I would not be at all surprised to hear from her that she will be spending the night in Toronto.

soon, I hope..

soon, I hope..

Actually, Karlynn, I was thinking more of the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles......a crass and possibly offensive movie which is ( ) one of our family favorites!! Hilarious. Only Monty Python makes me laugh harder...... Steve Martin, John Candy. Perhaps you should rent it when the immediate shock of this journey is past!

Do let us know when she's finally home!!

:D Marguerite

Margurite, that's one of our family favorites too. It may turn into this. If we'd left this morning we'd be in Toronto ready to head back home with our daughter.

I just got a call from her. Someone was nice enough to let her use their cell phone (hers is out of battery). They are still just sitting on the runway. The plane is now almost 5 hours past original departure time.

I have gotten next to nothing done since noon because I keep thinking I'll head to the airport soon to pick her up. We are so fortunate to live only 20 minutes from O'Hare. I'd really be ticked if we had to drive a few hours to pick her up.

I have this feeling that if the plane gets sent back to the terminal my daughter will re-enact Steve Martin's scene where he explodes at the woman behind the airline ticket window. I just hope she does it in French so not many can understand what she's saying.

The eagle has landed

Well, she's on the ground and at baggage claim with her Daddy. She'll be home soon.

Thanks for the prayer coverage. I am grateful.

Planes Trains and Automobiles is my favorite comedy movie. I just love the part where John Candy is going the wrong way on the highway and goes between two tractor trailers and Steve Martin and John Candy's faces turn to skulls, and then after they stop spinning around and are out of the car, the car catches fire from John Candy's cigarette...Then they have the nerve to actually drive it...Oh My God is that movie ever funny! Anyway, Karlynn, I am glad your daughter is home safe and sound. Harrybaby

Glad she's home

Glad she's home

As a hate to fly person I'm so happy she is safely on the ground here in the USA. I think we all knew in our heart of hearts that she'd get back OK, yet, in these days and times nothing is certain.

Thank God and may he bless your joyous reunion.

Melissa
