Johns Surgery Changed Again!!!!!!

Ok, so its only changed to Friday instead of Thursday but this is now the 4th time!! I bloody knew when the phone rang before that it would be the hospital, I am seriously giving up answering the phone!!

I suppose I shouldn't have tempted fate by posting the earlier post

Good Lord!, what a roller coaster! Console yourself with the thought that these things are usually for a good reason and therefore John will get better care.

We are all thinking about you and sending you warm and positive thoughts.

Oh, I feel so impatient for you! We live about 200 miles from the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton where my surgery was to happen. My surgery was postponed 3 times, twice while I was in the hotel room the day before and once while I was at the OR door.

The successful day was in question as well, I was in the day ward waiting, with IV's and preop meds coursing through my system again, when I heard my doc's name over the PA, code blue ... meaning crash and cardiac emergency. Thankfully, the guy in the ER belched and moved on as did my surgery.

Blessings and take comfort in the thought that your John is well enough to wait and not so ill that he's the patient bumping people off the OR schedule.
