Hey all -
My 2nd AVR is sceduled for January 6th at Beth Israel in NYC. I still haven't decided whether I'll be going for the Ross Procedure or for the mechanical valve.

I'd like to thank those of you who have responded to my posts. I feel much more confident after hearing about your experiences.

Hi there! Have you seen the E-mail I sent you this morning? I'm happy to hear you're feeling more confident about the surgery. I'll be praying for you every day and hope that when you come back to Brazil we can finally arrange to meet. Are you having a wee party to celebrate Nicola's birthday today? It's nice you'll have your parents and sisters to help you out through this rough patch, and Nicolas will be in great hands while you recover. Make sure you leave instructions with a family member to keep us posted on your condition!

Hi there Margaret! I haven't heard from you again since you wrote about your arrival in New York. How are thigs? I hope to get an E-mail from you before you go into hospital. I'll keep my fingers, toes and even eyes LOL!!, crossed for you on Friday!! And I'll be looking forward to hearing how things went. Make sure someone will update us here! Anyway, if you don't mind, I'll give Marcos a wee ring on Saturday if I haven't heard anything until then. Take care and remain as calm as possible under the circumstances. Good luck and see you on the other side of the mountain!!

Hey everyone,
Here in my parents' house, I don't have much access to the Internet.
I spent most of my day at the hospital today, having pre-op exams done.
I'm going for the Ross Procedure, I have to be at Beth Israel tomorrow at 6 AM!
Thanks for all your good wishes, and support. It has really helped me during a difficult time.
Débora, I sent you a e-mail, I don't have Yahoo Messenger on this computer.
Will post as soon as I can.

It already happened

I read your post and saw that your surgery was yesterday and it was your second. I am having a second mitral valve surgery on the 11th and am scared silly since it is my second.
If someone is picking up your posts and posting for you please let us know how you are doind and was the second time better or worse than the second.
You'll be in my prayers.

Hi there everyone, I've just started a new thread under the "Post Surgery" section of this forum asking if anyone has heard about MarkRose's surgery!!?? Althought we've become quite good friends over the past couple of months, I stil haven't been contacted by any of her family members, but I'll keep trying her home number here in Brazil to find out what's going on!!
