Has anyone out there had a tickling feeling in their chest--almost like something is winding its way through the inside of the chest? It's not painful, but it's a little weird and annoying.

I've googled this but haven't found any information. It is the weirdest sensation.

I have another description for the sensation; but it's not appropriate to give on this forum.

Well . . . let me know. Thanks.

mmm...would it be like a buzzing ? as if you had your mobile-phone on VIBRATE going off in your chest pocket of a shirt ? ...

cos I get these in many-many different places and it is called " fascilitations"...to do with the nerves firing off weirdly

I also get the creepy-crawlies like there are ants crawling up my leg or over my back...also a similar type of thing form the stupid nerves who lost the plot years ago :( :D ...

It's probably just damaged nerve endings. I'm 7+ years post-op and I still have areas of my chest that are completely numb - especially the area right in the middle of my sternum - and every now and then I'll get tremendous itching in various parts of the chest and it doesn't matter how much I scratch, I can't seem to find the right spot. I have an old sweatshirt that has an embroidered logo on it that really annoys me if I don't wear something under it. It never bothered me before the surgery, so I assume it has to do with damaged nerves.

Greetings from Florida...

For the first month or two after mine, it sometimes felt like I had a small pin-prick in my upperchest. My active imagination imagined that one of the wires holding my sternum together had broken. I even expected a wire to poke through my skin. Needless to say, the pains always went away in a matter of seconds.
