You never want to be below 2.0! Anything lower and the risk rises for clotting on the valve. Mitral valves escpecially. If you know your going to be below 2 for a good length of time, then yes, get the Lovenox going, but if it's just temporary, one or two days, you should be ok, but the risk is still present.

It takes up 3 days for a dose change to appear in the test.
