I've been downloading archived out-of-print books from a great website for a while.

http://www.archive.org/details/texts

It's a 501(c)3 org. I've downloaded books about cats printed in 1889 to 1907 to use for research purposes.

Today, I found 3 cardiology books (one by the World Health Organization printed in 2004, I think). There are some under "heart," but far too many for me to peruse.

If you have a special interest/hobby, you might find a gold mine at this website.

I store the pdf versions of my books on a flash drive.

tks for this one. My children gave me a kindle on last birthday and I read it every day. it's nice when we find books that are either cheap or FREE! yea.........

These are archived books, out of print. Very very interesting ones that you can't find other places.

I'm trying to find one at the website about the history of the Dallas Morning News, called 35,000 Days in Texas, I think. I bought a copy in the early 1970s, loaned it out, then friend moved away. :(
