You would be making a big mistake to lie on an insurance application. Especially one of this magnitude. It could almost be considered fraud I think. I agree with another posters idea of checking out your state laws, and some states do have high risk pools - premiums are not cheap with high deductible. If a private insurerr finds one thing you lied about on the application - they are going to deny you coverage - not just for heart condition, but for anything including being in a car wreck. Insurance companies are for profit companies and if they can find a way to deny you they will. They will consider your application for insurance null and void, thus no contract. Janie has it right - tell the truth, you may not be covered immediately for your valve situation, but I was doing 6 month echoes for quite sometime, so maybe you can beat the pre-existing waiting period, before it's time to do the operation. Of course echos and cardio may not be covered for awhile.
