I have been on Coumadin for almost 11 months now. My one year anniversary will be Aug. 7th for the first surgery and the 18th for the second.
I have been taking a lot of Coumadin from the start, and am taking 19, 19, 20mg of Coumadin. I sure hope my liver will hold out the rest of my life. God only knows why I need that much Coumadin to stay between 2.5 - 3.5. I have no clue! I can't worry about it otherwise it makes me more depressed than I already am.
I eat a reasonable diet, and try to be consistant with the vitamine K foods, however, some days I just can't stand having the same foods all the time to keep it consistant.
