I was in ICU for 5 days
Then 1 day in the step down unit
Then back to ICU for 3 days
Then back to the step down unit for 7 days
I was in the hospital 16 days in all. Pneumonia, some other issue that caused my return to ICU, and my PT INR taking a long time to get up to a theraputic level. My recovery at home was quick and unremarkable. I was writing blog entries less than 48 hours after coming home.
