Three inches of ice on the ground in SE Missouri . . . how about everyone else?

Oh YUCK!
A good day to stay home.
Mary, do you have any pictures?

None from today, but Read mentioned iceskates, so here's my sister attempting it this past week-end.
By the way, she will KILL ME if she ever finds out I posted this!:p:p
Mum's the word!;):D

90 degrees, clear and sunny, light breezes off the bay of bengal due south of chennai.

Mary, You could make snow cones with that ice. Don't know how you guys do it I'm frozen just looking at your picture. :D Stay inside and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. 62 here today thats the high.

Just North of Springfield (Mo) we have had a mixture of sleet & freezing rain. Thankfully, it has not accumulated on trees & wires this time. It's veeerrry cold and nasty, though. I think that just S of Springfield and into Northern Arkansas it's horribly icy with tree limbs & power lines down. We had our share of that in Jan, '07 and to a lesser degree Jan, '08.

Bring on the global warming!

Yikes - thanks but no thanks Mary! You can keep the ice! :)

We have been having some unseasonably warm, almost hot, weather in our part of the country! Looks almost like spring, hope the plants still think it's winter though!

And I won't tell your sis if thousands of viewers don't either! :D:p

Last night I walked the dog in a tshirt and shorts. Now they are predicting freezing rain for tonight. No wonder we are all sick here! I'm afraid I'm going to screw up my AC & Heater with this on/off/on/off/on/off business!

They've had freezing drizzle in Ft Worth, a FedEx plane skidded off the runway. Here on the East side of Dallas we've had some ice on the porch table, which is now melted, and lots of cold drizzle/light rain. No ice yet, but I'm working from home today 'cause I see no reason to wreck the car driving home this afternoon. Thank god my firm is supportive of the option. I'm taking a puppy break right now.

Sounds like the wise thing to do! As I posted before, unseasonably warm here the last week or so but this morning we're overcast & it feels cold outside! Even my puppy dogs didn't want to stay outside too long!

Got an email from my stepdaughter in Austin & they are pretty chilled this morning!

You keep it over on your side of town Janie! I don't want it! I'm just getting back into my walking routine and now this is going to blow in!

Was supposed to be freezing rain all day, and area schools closed in anticipation, but so far the temps have hovered 1 or 2 degrees above freezing and it's still all rain. However, it may freeze late this afternoon and be a huge mess. Glad I am not a commuter any longer. (Of course Superbob could always de-ice his cape and fly over it all. :)
