My date is April 20th!!! I thought it would be sooner but that works for me. My girls would be coming in anyway for Easter so they don't have to make special arrangements. They both work & live out of town. The surgeon agrees with the tissue valve. ....not sure which one he'll use because he said he needs to see the size of my valve first. He doesn't know about the aorta yet... .not until he gets in and sees it. I was so concerned about endo tube being in over night and he assured me that it would be removed fairly quickly. This date also gives me plenty of time to get first quarter work done for my clients which will take stress off of me and cook everything I normally do for Easter. So I will be very busy....too busy to think about surgery. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Thank you both...so much appreciated. I'm sure things will come up but I feel really positive about this now. Everyone's support has been so valuable to me. And I know there are many angels watching over all of us.

Jeri,

It is good that you have lots of plans for the weeks close to your date. That helped me - just staying busy kept me from dwelling on what I was doing next.

Good luck. We're all here for you!

Yep, keep busy and look forward to better days. It seems you have a positive outlook already so I gotta believe you are going to do great!

Thanks everyone.....I do feel really positive about this. I am so looking forward to all the power-walking that I used to be able to do. It will be wonderful to do without the SOB. Thanks for all your positive energy....prayers....You are all "Angels".

Jeri - I'm with you on the walking. I long to get back to it, but it is too soon for me, and the weather is nasty and cold. I keep the image in mind for when I feel down - a brisk walk on a nice day is a good image for me.

Hang in there. You'll be "on the other side" soon.

Good luck with your surgery! Good thing you have plenty to keep you busy leading up to it!

My pre-surgery appointment with the surgeon is March 30 and I imagine I will get my surgery date then. How did your pre-surgery talks with the surgeon go?

You go missy!!!

Jeri, I'm SO impressed by your positive attitude!. I keep going between "OK let's go & get this on the road" & I really think I don't feel bad enough to do this just right now - how about another month!
Take care, keep on keeping on & so forth!!!!!

Our pre-surgery talks were mostly about type of valve which is tissue, hospital stay, anesthesia used....what if anything he will do about aortic aneursym.......I pretty much did my homework before appt so I really didn't ask much.....my cardio and I talked alot before and we will again after regarding cardiac rehab.
Good luck with your appt March 30th. Let us know your date.
