Well I'm now a Oral Dental Surgeon!

I've had this piece of bony tissue in my bottom left wisdom socket driving me insane for the past month. It hurt to bite down on it, hurt to eat food and well you get the picture.

I took the remaining 4 Amoxicillins I had left and went to the cupboard and grabbed my box of gauze pads. Lyn looked at me and said, "Tell me your not going to do something stupid and make yourself bleed." I looked at her and said, " I might!"

I went and got the dental pick, sterilized it and then made a small cut just above the piece of bony tissue. Didn't bleed much at all. Took the pick and plucked that sucker out. Put a piece of gauze on it, held the pressure for about 3 minutes and no more bleeding.

Just did my INR test. 3.0.

I'm awaiting my ADA certification in the mail. :D

You are THE MAN! Did you then go out and save small children and animals from burning buildings?? :D

You got guts mister.

You are just a tad bit nuts.

I see no point in waiting another month in total misery when I can do exactly what they'd of done anyway. Plus, I want my dentures NOW. I don't want to be waiting another month or two waiting for gums to heal anymore. I'm ready to do some serious tooth chopping eating! You gotta remember, I've been toothless for 5 months now.

Ross - you are my hero. ;):D:p

Actually, I probably would have done the same thing - anything to avoid a visit to the dentist.

I have to agree that you are definitely nuts, although I do understand, and can't say that I would have done anything different. I've been known to remove my own stitches when they were driving me crazy, and once clipped a small skin tag.

Ross, Can't believe what you just did. Lynn should of never left you alone, your crazy (which I think we all are sometimes) Anyways, I'm glad you did'nt bleed to death. "Your a jack of ALL trades I guess". I never know what I will find you doing when I log on. :D I'm glad it ended well. :) No more crazy things for awhile OK!!!

THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT ROSS, THE MAN, HAS PASSED THE TEST OF ALL REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE (most of it) AND IS NOW QUALIFIED TO REMOVE OLD PIECES OF TEETH THAT REMAIN IN HIS/ANYONE'S MOUTH AFTER DENTAL SURGERY.

Hrs.: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. (bring lunch for us both)

Cost: Whatever the market will bear starting at $100/30 mins. (discount if you bring lunch, extra discount if you bring dessert)

What are you like, just a man of many talents lol Your mad lol
But at least now your nearer to getting back to eating apples lol

He may have given her a surprise, but seriously Ross was it an unusual, unexpected development the way you are? ;) :D

Yea, Yea I'm Know I'm just as bad.

You should have seen the expression on my wifes face a few years ago when I slammed my finger in a door and had a blood blister under the nail. I knew what the doc was gonna do, drill a hole to relieve pressure and drain it.

Sooooo...my wife comes downstairs and I have my finger on the drill press and Im drilling a hole in the middle of the nail. Wasn't too bad really, when I was done it actually felt better !

BTW....the nail eventually fell off...

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! A drill press? Did you have a depth stop or gage on it??????

Some people will do anything to stay away from doctors. I prefer using denial, electrical tools are outside my comfort zone.

I have snipped a few skin tags (like Lisa). Boy - those puppies can bleed!
