Hi Debbie and Jack

WELCOME!!! This is a wonderful place. I'm sure you will love it here. It seems as though everyone has answered many questions you might have, so I'll just say "WELCOME ABOARD." I'm sure we'll be talking in the future.....

Debbie: My surgeon was Robert Albus. At the time, he was part of the same group that Dr. Burton is in (Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Associates). That group has a lot of great surgeons and they do some pretty amazing things, including transplants and robotic surgery. And they are among the few in the area that do pediatric heart surgery. They will take very good care of Jack.

Hi Debbie!
Sorry I haven't replied earlier - kept meaning to but anyway, I'm here now!
Just wanted to wish you and Jack all the best for tomorrow, we'll all be thinking of you and waiting for news.
Speaking from personal experience, you can expect to feel like a basket case until you see him again in ICU  . When my boyfriend Jim had his AVR in Dec 2003 I was a real bag of nerves. He got to sleep through it all!
Anyway, welcome and I hope all goes well tomorrow.
Gemma.
