Janie and Ann

That's hot for both of you this early in the a.m......my OLD FASHIONED thermometer says 62 degrees on front porch...Ann, explain your avatar? Bonnie

How did it get there?

How did it get there?

O.K., did I really do it right last night, or did you help me, Ross? I was pleasantly surprised to find my temp strip there this morning. Thanks if you did.

Bonnie - the avatar - I played all morning the other day trying to learn how to do an avatar. I have 3-4 picture programs and finally found one that worked - then to find the picture was something else. I ended on that one of my son and me, reduced the size, put it in and lo, there it was. I can't find another one to replace it yet. But I will - soon as I have a whole morning free again.

Yep, hot here - and during the day it will be high 90s (or more) and tomorrow, hotter. After all, this is July and August isn't even here yet. ugh

I'm going to try that banner thing again.

I snuck in and fixed you. Sometime, go to your user control panel and look under "edit signature" to see how it is done. ;)

That was easier than I thought!

That was easier than I thought!

Okay, I really should have done this sooner. No one will believe me now that we just came through a loooonnnnnggg heat wave and dry spell. Oregon isn't just about rain and gloom! We really have gorgeous summers.

Thank goodness it is clouding over in the mornings (and then "burning off" to glorious afternoons and long summer Northwest evenings). It's been hovering around 90 for so long!! Too much sunshine does make us crabby!!

For those of you still trying to put these banners in your sig, go to the bottom of the page where it says posting rules and click on the code tag for the exact instructions on how this is done.

Many are trying, but many are not doing it properly.

I will continue to rely on my very old coco-cola themometer on porch. It is huge and easy to read. Even from inside looking out. :D :D Shaped like a coke bottle. Must be very old. bonnie

Granbonny,

I tend to be even more low tech than that (at least in weather forecasting) I just stick my head out the door or a window.

If my head gets cold, it's cold, if my head gets wet, it's raining, if my head turns white, it's probably snowing.

Spent over 4 hours this afternoon running around like a looney nut with my four year old monster and a whole bunch of other kids of varying ages at two seperate playgrounds in 80º blazing sunshine...

Had a blast, loads of fun, and never really got winded. A few times we all slowed down some to catch our breath and have some water from the fountain and about 4:30 or so my kid and I left to grab a Slush Puppy and have a walk around the downtown commons before going home.

Was great.

A year and 5 months ago I was laying flat on my back in a pICU on a vent and VERY VERY much near death.

Not to gloat or anything, just that they do great things at CCF and I seem to be living proof of that. =)

On a side note, I'm contemplating a headfirst leap into a 2 year plus degree program to become certified as an echocardiographer.... Been looking for something to stir things up as I have no real "formal" educational degree under my belt (left school prematurely because it SUCKED ROTTEN EGGS!) and I've been thinking about doing echo's for a long time.....
