I have whiplash. I was dreaming of snakes during the night. I have an unnatural fear of them. To avoid them I was literally scooting away from them and scooted right off the side of the bed, hitting my head just behind my right ear on the corner of the nightstand. It caused my neck to bend the other way with such force that I have whiplash! Nothing else injured that I can tell yet! Landed on my hip but it feels ok. Then I was stuck in the small area between my bed and the wall and was so deeply asleep when I fell that I had to think awhile as to how would I get up? Without waking Teresa at 3 a.m. I finally got on my knees and worked my way up eventually and back into bed where I was in great pain until I fell back asleep until 5. When Teresa got up, I asked her to come in to inspect the huge bump behind my ear and sure nuff it's a big'un! I am really sore in the neck and spinal area and knee caps. If it isn't better by tomorrow I might mosey on to see the dr. (he doesn't work on Wednesday). Stop laughing. Resa and I had a good laugh this morning after she got over the shock.

Sorry to hear about this.   I hope it is nothing serious. I'd get it checked out tomorrow for sure.

On the lighter side.....given the title of the tread, and some of the threads around here lately, I somehow expected something a bit more, shall we say, "incorrigible". ;) :D

Ann, I was expecting something more fun from you than the way you actually got it.

I too think you should get it checked out. Hope you feel better soon

Ann, I once heard that the large majority of people who die from heart attacks while sleeping were actually having sex, but their spouses were too embarrassed to admit it. Are you sure that you were dreaming of snakes and not having a little fun?

Seriously, I hope you feel better soon. I recommend a trip to the doctor, but maybe you should tell him that you were doing sit-ups in bed and hit the nightstand?

What a rough way to start the day. I hope you get better quickly.

Unnatural fear? No way, I think it is perfectly natural to be afraid of snakes. While I realize their importance, I think they are one of the ugliest things God created. I never hesitate to try and tell the difference between a good one and deadly one. If it is in my yard, will be dead.
