Sorry Your Not Feeling Well

Sorry Your Not Feeling Well

Hi Yaps,
Just wanted to let you know how sorry I am your not feeling well. I would also check with the cardiologist as I had coughed up pink frothy phlegm and they told me it was part of CHF. I hope that they can catch this asap. Take Care, and Feel Better. Harrybaby666  :D  :D

I always err on the side of caution when it comes to such things as you are describing.

I'd rather spend a few hours in the doctor's office (usually it's less than that) to find out that I DON'T have something than end up in a hospital becaquse I DO have something and I waited too long to get it treated "simply" at home....

If you're coughing up stuff and have an elevated temperature, SEE A DOCTOR!

Don't wait, that could be the time an infection needs to REALLY get going.

Can never bee too careful when it comes to coumadin therapy and artificial valves and heart conditions...

Plus there's something to be said for being proactive, even if it turns out to be a false alarm.

Thankyou Harry

Thankyou Harry

My husband's crew was rained out, so he came home early..in time for me to go to gp.. he's pretty good , and has been with me a long time, before my ohs, etc...no in -depth check, but stated its bronchitis and chf..swelling told me that..lol.Thankyou for caring.love yaps

Yaps, are you sticking to a NO
(NONE, NADA, NUTTIN') SALT diet?

Also, do you take a potassium pill with
your lasix? Don't want your electrolytes
to bottom out either.

Maintaining fluid balance is VERY important
and can be VERY exasperating!

Best wishes.

'AL' (LOVE your pup)

I hope you get better Fast...

I hope you get better Fast...

Hi Yaps,
I hope that you get to feeling better fast, as I know both bronchitis (yes, I am One Sick Puppy...Litterally) and I have CHF also, and I know that bronchitis makes your whole chest feel quite nasty, so I am right there with you when it comes to knowing how miserable a chest can feel, not to mention all the other problems that can arise. Take Care, Keep On Resting, and Get Better Soon...Harrybaby666 :D :D :D :D :D

no salt

no salt

in my house, John (hubby) has ph , havent had salt here for years, but I have been eating some bacon and sausage  ..oh well back to the oatmeal  ugh..plewwy ..yuck..
Solomon says thankyou, he only takes offense at being called d o g.. he thinks he is human..lol he really does.. imgoing to bed now.. will see all in the morning.
And bless all of you.Yaps

Ask the doc before taking the potassium suppliments...

You might not really need them, a blood test would tell for sure and it's an answer that can change over time.

I'm on Lasix and Spironolactone and no potassium suppliments though I endulge in foods that are high in potassium quite often such as OJ and bananas and the occassional glass of low sodium tomato juice (about the same amount of sodium as a slice of white bread as opposed to the other stuff which is something like 20 slices of bread, plus a couple of bagels...)

Always check with the docs before adding suppliments to your diet. Better safe than in the hospital right? =)

Im on

Im on

potassium, magnesium, fish oil( hospital started that)lasix, plavix, comadin, atenenol, lipitor, nitro, darvocet for pain in legs(claudication).
Ive an arsenal of meds.
My husband takes, verapamil, accupril, hydralazine, hydrochlorot, clonidine., and potassium.
You should see my desk drawer..lol.. And getting the meds straight ..lol Ive put Johns in an egg carton seperated days from nights.. so if Im in the hospital, he knows which is which..( heis dxlexic and color blind), and he cannot do without his meds for even a day. Cant use the smaller day thingys, too many meds, and some are twice a day..so he knows middle is am meds and lower are pm.. so far this has worked. Well Im heading for bed, feel much better today, tho still swollen, but some congestion is down. Thank all of you so much.. I dont feel so alone,Love Yaps

Yaps
Strange, I read your first post and I thought "last time I felt like that I was going back into CHF".. and I was. Read on and YOU were. So hope you are feeling better and on the mend. CHF is just flat crummy...... malaise, sob, sometimes depression not to mention that little problem of being unable to breath. So sorry this is happening, and know you are probably much better by now.

Thank you Tick tock,

Thank you Tick tock,
