In looking around the web at people's scars, I've noticed a rather wide range of scar lengths that qualify as a mini-stern procedure. I'm quite pleased to say that one of the smallest mini scars that I've seen is my own, at exactly 2" in length. I had an AVR with no other complicating issues. I'm curious to know if anyone has a smaller incision, and also how large a mini can get and still be a mini.

This is me a few days shy of one month post-op. Maybe I should put this up in the Tawdry Shirt forum...!

Mine scar is about 6 inches, but I had a MVR and my tube lines were at the bottom of my incision. A full scar on me would probably close to a foot long, since I am extremely tall. Every time I went in for a lung Xray, the technicians had to take a couple of extra shots since they couldn't get the entire lung in one shot.

Heh ... 2" ... nice.

Mine is a bit longer than that; never measured it, though.

Well, in all honesty, my little finger in the pic is covering a drain tube scar, and yes, there's one on my right groin. But my word Sara Louise, 20 scars! You really got your money's worth!! I'm feeling just a bit cheated! You've really have had some work done, how are things going for you now?
